Duvall’s Best Kept Secret

Scott Burnett and I had the pleasure of landing a gig last Friday evening at Match Coffee and Wine in Duvall. They feature music on Friday and Saturday nights.  I was rehearsing with the Dan Sales group for the Grazies gig when Match called Dan looking for someone to fill the Friday night slot. (Thanks Dan!)

I get out to Duvall every once in a while because that is where my business PO box is. (Duvall is about 10 miles east of Woodinville where I live.) Although Match is on Duvall’s main street and has been around for about a year, I have never noticed it. That is due primarily to a town ordinance that prohibits the size of signs in the “historic” part of town, which must be frustrating for the business owners, I’m sure.

So, I’m spreading the word!  Drive out to Duvall. If you’re coming from Woodinville (on the aptly named Woodinville-Duvall road) hang a right and you’ll find Match on the right in the building just after the gas station. If you pass Cherry St. you’ve missed it.

The place has a cool, warm vibe. The owners Jolene and Charlie Chase are great people. They have wireless internet, delicious food, specials on wine, happy hour from 4-6, wine tasting classes, and various events. Check out their website.
